Who We Are

Uptown Neighborhood Council, UNC, is a grass-roots organization of Uptown residents and business owners founded in 2003.  We are registered 501(c) (4) organization.  UNC was formed to give Uptown residents and business owners a forum and stronger community voice in the revitalization of this historic neighborhood.

Our Mission

Revitalize the Uptown community through balanced economic development, the arts and cultural enrichment and sensible community planning.

Irving Park to Foster, Lake Michigan to Ashland

2006 Objectives

Influence sensible development of the Wilson Yard
Participate in the Wilson Yard TIF Oversight Committee
Initiate Uptown Survey for new business expansion
Attract and support arts & cultural organizations, businesses, and events
Assure 46th Ward Zoning Committee addresses community zoning issues
